Non-Competitive Team
Our non-competitive program was started in the Fall of 2023. We wanted to provide a program for families that just wanted to swim for health benefits, or for those who wanted to swim, but not compete. Our focus is fun, fitness, and technique. All groups will develop endurance to be able to swim multiple laps, and learn all four competitive strokes.
Red- Our red group is our most beginner group and is at a similar level to our Bronze 1 group to our competitive program. In our Red group we will go over more basic fundaments such as floating, gliding, getting comfortable on your back, and simultaneous hand movement drills. Athletes will learn how to dive to the bottom of the pool and practice getting items from the floor.
White-Our white group is our novice group and is at a similar level to our Bronze 2 group in our competitive program. In our White group we will go over how to transition from front to back, side to side, and teach movements through a variety of jumping, pushing, and pulling techniques.
Blue-Our Blue group is our intermediate group and is at a slightly higher level to our Bronze 2 group in our competitive program. In our blue group athletes would swim multiple laps while learning how to appropriately move water in an efficient manner while floating. We will also teach movements such as flip-turns, starts, and open turns.
Developmental Program
Our Developmental program practices 3x per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 30 minutes. We focus on teaching floating skills, sinking skills, moving water forward, backwards, and sideways in a fun manner with both hands and feet. Athletes will learn fun techniques that they can carry over into the competitive program as they age up or feel comfortable learning competitive techniques.
